This DVD converter and DVD ripping software allows you to rip any chapter or segment from a DVD movie, rip with any angle/subtitle/soundtrack of your choice, and customize the output file size. You can also adjust the conversion parameters and create your own custom DVD conversion profiles.

Imtoo DVD ripper is a great tool for ripping DVDs. It can rip any kind of DVD, even copy protected DVDs. There is a big range of filetypes it can handle wich include the common DIVX (XVID), WMV, and formats for PSP, etc.
DVD files can be selected from a folder previously copied or drirectly (in case of protected DVD). Although it can Rip protected DVDs, there are some exceptions. It has a preview pane where we can preview and select the time range of DVD videos. But, as with most other DVD rippers and video editors, it cannot provide a preview of the quality of the output. So, a little bit knowledge about video codecs and their bitrates might be useful. Otherwise, just select the default setting for output for a balanced quality and filsize. We all know, higher bitrate means means better quality and higher file size.
It is easier to use for a novice, considering that it has less options to set and so, is not much confusing.
This program has a fair speed of DVD ripping & file conversion. But it is not much of an advantage.
Supported languages are only limited and it is a disadvantege considering that almost all the software released today includes a lot of language for interface. |
